Located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco, on the Atlantic Ocean, the Hassan II Mosque or the Great Hassan II Mosque is one of the largest religious buildings in the world. Built under the reign and direction of the King at the time of Hassan II, this Mosque was built in August 1993.
It is the largest mosque in Morocco, the second largest mosque in Africa and the fifth largest in the world. All the same, it has the world's tallest minaret, measuring 210 metres.
