Île de Carabane

Carabane, also called Karabane, is both an island and a village located in the extreme southwest of Senegal, at the mouth of the Casamance River. A heavenly site, endowed with a pleasant climate and lush vegetation, it is also, from a historical point of view, the first French colonial trading post in Casamance.
