Musée de la musique - Mouassine

The Musée de la Musique de Marrakech, inaugurated in 2014, is housed in a riad of 16th and 17th century Arabo-Andalusian architecture. This magnificent restoration showcases an unprecedented collection of traditional Moroccan and African musical instruments. Visitors explore Morocco's musical history through permanent and temporary exhibitions, while immersing themselves in the art of a Moroccan artist who lived here. A unique interactive experience allows visitors to try out instruments and listen to audio recordings. The museum offers concerts of traditional music such as Gnawa and Berber three times a week, in salons adorned with period mosaics. Enjoy a panoramic terrace with breathtaking views of the Medina and the Atlas Mountains. A tea room and Moroccan dinner enrich the visit, with guided tours available.
