Set in a Moroccan palace built in 1910, Dar El Bacha is an architectural treasure trove combining tradition and modernity. Formerly the residence of pasha Thami El Glaoui, the mansion was transformed into a museum in 2017, offering an immersion in Morocco's rich cultural heritage. The riad's symmetrical floor plan, centered around an orange tree garden, features six rooms with interiors sublimated by zelliges and carved cedar wood ceilings. Visitors can enjoy a traditional hammam, an elegant douiria and a library. The museum houses collections of Moroccan handicrafts and has seen the visit of such historic figures as Winston Churchill. Bacha Coffee, a trendy coffee lounge, offers a retro 1930s ambience with a wide selection of coffees and delicious pastries. The café opens at 10am, allowing visitors to explore the museum before relaxing. Free admission for students and teachers on certain dates.
