Tourism Grand Bassam
Located 35 minutes from Abidjan, straddling the Ouladine lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, Grand-Bassam is one of the best tourist destinations in Côte d'Ivoire and the first capital of Côte d'Ivoire to inherit the colonial remains (buildings, monument and lighthouse) that have allowed it to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Grand-Bassam is one of the best seaside resorts in the country with its beach that extends from the village of Azuretti to Mondoukou decorated with hotels and restaurants.
It is famous for its traditional annual festivals: Abissa among the N'zimas, which takes place over a week (from the last Sunday in October to the first Sunday in November) and the generation festival among the Abourés de Moosou, which takes place every Easter Monday.
This city also has large craft centres where you will have the opportunity to practice ceramics, chat with master bronzers and even do craft shopping.
