Looking for a fun, friendly and above all quiet place to take a break in the heart of the Plateau? Look no further! The courtyard of the Institut Français de Côte d'Ivoire is home to Café Choco. This open-air restaurant-bar offers visitors to the cultural center a sweet and refreshment break at any time of day or during events. Tables to nibble at lunchtime or to enjoy a coffee, comfortable benches to wait in the cool before a performance or a gourmet stop-off for post-show cravings... in short, a little touch of conviviality at the heart of the Institut Français, which many have been eagerly awaiting. The menu is simple, good and effective: hot and cold drinks, local juices, ice creams and generous pastries, sandwiches, croques, paninis and other snacks, salads, soups and daily specials... all at very reasonable prices. The installation of Café Choco was also an opportunity to give the inner courtyard of the Institut Français a makeover: a bit of greenery, some color and pretty murals, full of pep and freshness, signed by the young Ivorian painter Obou, which revitalize the place and give it a real identity. It's the first step in a concept that's set to evolve. To be continued... but we already like it!
