The lemur, an emblematic species of Madagascar, can be seen all over the big island whether in nature reserves, national parks or simply in their natural habitat, the tropical forest. The most fascinating thing about this tour is that it offers a possibility to discover the endemic species of the island but also to live an unforgettable stay in a dream place on a beautiful beach, far from all worries.

The trip starts by discovering the highlands with beautiful landscapes, and continues by visiting the famous Ranomafana National Park and the one and only tea plantation of Sahambavy. Then we take the road to Ranohira known for its famous natural rocky massifs.

The adventure continues to reach the seaside resort of Ifaty, a dream beach with turquoise water. The charm of Ifaty lies mainly in its immense lagoon and coral reef extending over nearly 40 km.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo

Our team will welcome you at Ivato airport on your arrival and provide your transfer to the hotel. Presentation of your program and delivery of your travel documents. Possibility to visit the city according to your flight schedule. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 2: Visit Lake Tritriva and Andraikiba

After breakfast, departure for Antsirabe, stop in Ambatolampy to meet the manufacturers of aluminum casseroles. In Antsirabe, have lunch at the restaurant, visit of the Tritriva lake, where a tree with an embracing trunk reminds the legend of two young people condemned for a love forbidden by their parents and who commit suicide in the old crater. Then move on to the volcanic lake of Andraikiba, located about 7 km west of the city, is certainly the best known of all. Its name comes from the cry of a young pregnant woman who drowned there during a swimming competition with her rival, organized by her own husband. The inhabitants of the surrounding area often enjoy telling other legends, as amusing and striking as each other. The lake closely resembles a circle 5 km in circumference, surrounded by a few tree seedlings and the remains of a nautical complex from the colonial era. Day 3: Discovery of the Zafimaniry art.

Departure to Ranomafana after breakfast. On the road, we can admire the peasant cultivation technique of rice terraces. Lunch break in Ambositra with the visit of the Zafimaniry Arts workshop. Continuation of the trip to Ranomafana. Installation at the hotel. Night visit at the edge of the street to discover chameleons, nocturnal lemurs. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 4: Visit Ranomafana National Park

In the morning, after breakfast, visit of Ranomafana National Park. This Malagasy park, created in 1991, is located 65 kilometers northeast of the capital of the city of Fianarantsoa and covers nearly 41,601 hectares. More precisely, the Ranomafana Park lurks happily in the heart of the Namorona Valley. It is surrounded by mountainous massifs. The immense evergreen forest that surrounds it will only increase its charm. In the afternoon after lunch at the restaurant, direction to Sahambavy. It is a beautiful place to relax by its beautiful lake. You can still see the rice terraces of the Betsileo. You can also discover their daily life. Installation at the hotel. Day 5: Visit of the tea plantation in Sahambavy

After breakfast, visit of the tea plantations where you will discover the cultural process and the making of tea. Tea tasting. Then we continue to Fianarantsoa (again on the national road RN7) "where one learns the good", small tour of the city to admire its historical remains. This locality is a copy of the city of Antananarivo. Indeed, Queen Ranavalona I had it built in the image of the Capital. After lunch at the restaurant, continuation of the trip to Ambalavao. Day 6: Visit of the Anja Reserve

After breakfast, a few minutes from Ambalavao, on the road to Isalo, visit of the Community Reserve of Anja. This site is very attractive for its biodiversity, presence of lemurs such as the Lemur catta (Maki), reptiles such as chameleons, snakes. Here, we begin to get closer to the territory of the Bara. Lunch at the restaurant along the way. We enter by a road that crosses a vast prairie reminiscent of the movies about the American far west with cowboys and redskins. Arrival in Ranohira, Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 7: Ranohira: Visit of Isalo National Park

The Isalo National Park is a natural rocky massif with a very particular relief. Stroll in this setting dating from the Jurassic, alternating desert landscapes and green canyons. This day will be devoted to the visit of the Isalo National Park. We can take the circuit of the natural swimming pool and that of Namaza to access the blue and black pools as well as the nymph cascade for a swimming session. Night at the hotel.

Day 8: Travel to Ifaty

After breakfast, departure for the Antandroy territory. We will cross, at the edge of the RN7, Ilakaka, a small village that has become a city of several thousand inhabitants including Thai, Chinese, Sri Lankans, Brazilians, all attracted by the sapphire mines which are among the most beautiful in the world. Arrival in Toliara. Lunch at the restaurant. A visit to the Antsokay Arboretum is in the program; it is the showcase of the endemic fauna and flora typical of the South. Lunch at the restaurant in Toliara then destination Ifaty. Installation at the hotel. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 12: End of tour and return home

After breakfast, take the national road RN3 for a cultural and historical discovery by visiting the Royal Palace in Ambohimanga Rova. Depending on your flight schedule, possibility to discover Malagasy handicrafts at the dam market. Free dinner and meeting with our team. Day use at the hotel then transfer to the airport.
