In 8 days, you will be able to make the escapade in the south of Madagascar, it is the part of the big island which promises the richest and most surprising discoveries in terms of landscape, flora and fauna.

From the first stage: you will go directly to Ifaty, a fishing village in the north, 35 km from Tuléar. It is a destination that shows the beauty of Madagascar's western coastline with its beaches bordered by a turquoise sea and its coral reef. Various activities await you such as diving and various water sports. You will have the opportunity to make the adventure by making the stroll in cart pulled by the two zebus to discover the baobab forest where you will meet some species of birds, chameleons and lemurs. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful beach!

In the other stages, while going up by 4WD car you will discover parks and reserves where you will meet the Makis, here in freedom, of park rich in fauna and flora. You will have the opportunity to appreciate the magnificent and varied landscapes from one place to another. You will see tombs that show the culture and tradition of the ethnic groups.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo

Our team will meet you at the airport upon your arrival, transfer to the hotel, presentation of your tour program and delivery of your travel documents. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Tulear.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Tulear. Reception by your guide and driver in Tuléar then transfer by car to Ifaty, the fishermen's village located 35 km north of Tuléar. Installation and night at the hotel.

Day 3: Ifaty and its surrounding villages

Ifaty, Mangily, Madiorano and Ambolimailaka are small villages facing the majestic turquoise water lagoon of Ranobe, famous for its coral reef. They are here used as seaside resorts.

Free stay, activities to be seen with your guide: you will be able to do the activities at sea such as the excursion by speedboat or the traditional pirogue. You will have the opportunity to go trolling fishing, water skiing according to the season, snorkeling or scuba diving... in the afternoon, you will go for a cart rideinZebuand a walking part in the dry forest with various varieties of endemic spiny, euphorbias, Didiéracées, pachypodiums and Baobabs. Day 4: Drive to Tulear and Ranohira to explore the famous window of Isalo.

After breakfast, you leave the village of Ifaty to join the village of Ranohira in a stopover in Tulear to visit and discover the museum. Continuing the ascent on the RN7, you will see various tombs with many shapes and well decorated, erected with wooden sculptures of the ethnic groups of Mahafaly and Antandroy, who are zebu breeders. You will undoubtedly cross impressive herds of zebus, sheep and goats. You will cross many villages and towns of gold and sapphire seekers, you will stop at the window of Isalo, to watch the sunset across the massif. Lunch and dinner . Then installation and night at the hotel.

Day 5: Visit and discovery of Isalo National Park.

After breakfast, departure for the discovery of Isalo Park. Adventure with a guide of the park, it is a hike in the uniform massif of Isalo. You quietly put a small bag on your shoulder for a hike through surprising landscapes made up of canyons, pools and rocks with magical erosions. Your beautiful day's walk in this spectacular setting begins in the morning with a visit to the natural swimming pool lost in the middle of the immensity of the rocks; it continues with a picnic lunch near the nymph waterfall populated by lemurs and ends with the discovery of the black and blue pools.

The Isalo National Park created in 1962 is classified as an exceptional park. Extended over more than 100 km from north to south, it is truly unique in Madagascar by its geomorphological formation dating from the Jurassic: this ruiniform continental sandstone massif, carved deep canyons, hosts endemic rocky vegetation (Aloes, spurges, Pachypodes ...).

You will discover during the visit exceptional fauna, most species are endemic, such as rock reptiles, makis and other species of lemurs. The Bara ethnic group predominates in this region, they are farmers, but also zebu breeders. Return to the Hotel, Dinner  and Night at the Hotel.

Day 6: Departure to Ranohira to reach the city of Fianarantsoa.

After breakfast, departure from Ranohira to the city of Fianarantsoa. You will pass the immense plateau of Ihorombe up to Ihosy. You will leave the dry and arid South little by little and enter the highland landscape.

A stop of about 1h30mn to visit the small reserve of Anja managed by the village association AMI (Anja Miray): a gallery forest of ficus, lianas and orchids has developed between spectacular rocky chaos, sometimes forming caves adopted as shelters by some animals. On the slopes of the reliefs, the vegetation has been colonized by succulent plants, such as pachypodiums and kalanchoes. In this small park as a green paradise, you easily discover the ringed-tailed lemurs emblem of Madagascar: the "makiscatta". They spend a lot of time on the ground and are easy to observe because they are not too shy. Lunch at the restaurant in Anja.

Depending on the day and the weather, the possibility of discovering the zebu market (usually on Wednesdays) and/or Antemoro paper making, discovery of the vineyard not far from the road, visit of the silk weaving workshop. Continuation to Fianarantsoa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Drive to the Water City

After breakfast, departure to discover the city of Fianarantsoa. Around 10 am, departure to join the city of Antsirabe. A few stops along the way to explore the surroundings of the remains. Lunch in Ambositra, discovery of the craft workshop for wood carving and marquetry: Chez Victor. Arrival in Antsirabe at the end of the day, installation at the hotel. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 8: Drive to the capital and return to the country of origin.

You will make a small tour of the city and a visit to the local craftsmen (making miniature bicycles and cars, working the horn of zebu ...) then road to Ambatolampy, you will have a short stop in this city to discover the craft workshop for making pots, various kitchenware and decorative aluminum. You will appreciate the beautiful landscape, you will see rice fields and villages characteristic of the Highlands. Often you will have small stops to enjoy the impressive landscape. You will also have time for tasting. Continuation of the road to Antananarivo. Depending on the weather, a possibility to visit the handicraft market to buy souvenirs.
