On board a pick-up truck, you'll travel over bush tracks into the interior, passing through many villages and admiring the diversity of the landscape. Baobabs, palms, cashew trees, exceptional flora and fauna. You'll arrive on the banks of the Saloum River. On the way, you'll come across huge herds of zebu grazing in the region.
At the village of Ndangane, the point of embarkation for the many islands built around this arm of the sea, you'll take a beautiful motorized pirogue for a short stroll through these calm waters, passing by the vast mangrove vegetation, a refuge for birds and many fish species.
For more authenticity, you'll dine on the island of Mar Lodj, where the restaurant serves typical Senegalese dishes made with fresh seafood.
On your return in the early afternoon, you can take advantage of the trip to visit a termite mound and see the "sacred baobab" (the largest in the region, nearly 900 years old and 33 m in circumference).
This outing offers you the opportunity to return home with plenty of beautiful memories of Senegal and discover a facet of people's history.
