There are currently less than 1200 mountain gorillas left in the world and almost half of the population resides in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Gorilla trekking is one of the top activities while on a safari. Did you know that Uganda has the highest percentage of Gorillas in the world?

You will also visit to Batwa Cultural village which is an Indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years; enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park is the largest biotic area in Africa. It is a habitat for a variety of flora and fauna, hippo, tree-climbing lions, elephants, wildebeest, swamp antelope, Uganda-kobs, topis, waterbucks, bushbucks, reedbucks, duiker, mongoose, and forest hog.

You will climb Rwenzori Mountains. Rwenzori Mountains are home to two of the highest peaks in Africa. The Rwenzori Mountains run north to south for about 75 to 80 miles (120 to 130 km) in between two lakes, Lake Albert and Lake Edward. and have a breadth of around 30 to 40 miles (50 to 65 km).

After climbing the Rwenzori Mountains, you visit Kibale National Park; a haven with the largest concentration of chimpanzees. Uganda has highest number of Chimpanzee in the whole world which is about 4950 chimpanzees and Kibale National Park holds about 1500 chimpanzees.
