This safari is a gorilla trekking tour mashed up with a bit of wildlife either by drive, hot air ballooning or both depending on your interest. The safari begins from Kampala and ends at Entebbe Airport.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Very early in the morning our company driver/guide will pick you from your

Kampala hotel and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable rain forest for gorilla trekking. A beautiful scenery referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa” will be a great sight as you navigate the immense country side. You will have lunch en route. On arrival at park, you will check in to your pre booked lodge and relax as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience due the next day.

Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist camp

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and community visit

After your early morning breakfast, assemble at the park head office with your packed lunch and drinking water for briefing from the senior park ranger guide. You will then set off to the starting point and trek the gentle giants through thick and dark vegetation as you hike high and low slippery slopes. Be observant enough to listen to the vocals of the gorillas as they communicate which will make it easy for you to follow them up. The only one magical hour you will be with the huge giant apes, will be the most amazing you will forever tell. The guide will tell you more about them and their habits and you will take as many photos as you desire. Afterwards, return to the lodge for relaxation, if time and energy allows, you can go and have some evening community visits so as to learn more about the cultures and daily activities of the native people.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise

Wake up to your early morning breakfast at your hotel and then set out to drive through the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Ishasha sector. This drive will be like a mission to see the rare tree-climbing lions which are the most common residents in this area. In this area as well, you will have great sights of the antelopes especially Uganda Kobs, the bush bucks and the gazelles. Expect to arrive in Mweya around noon for lunch and afterwards the boat will be set for you for your 2 hours Kazinga channel boat cruise connecting Lake George to Lake Edward. This is the best cruise ever because it gives you close views of the hippos, cape buffaloes bathing in water, African Elephants, Crocodiles basking, not forgetting the numerous birds including the African Fish Eagle, the King fishers, the African Skimmers, the Pelicans, among others.

Dinner and overnight at Enganzi lodge

Day 4: Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala

After your morning breakfast, you will get ready for a morning game drive following the Kasenyi trail in search for game like lions, water bucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs, cape buffaloes among others.

You may decide to go for hot air ballooning which is an optional activity. It starts at dawn and lasts for 1 hour. You will be taken up higher than the hills and trees as you gaze at the herds of buffaloes, elephants and other game enjoying the calm serenity of the African bush. You will later embark on a journey to Kampala arriving late in the evening to connect to Entebbe for your departure flight depending on your flight schedule. Lunch will be en route.
