Day 1 - Arrival to Uganda

On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and then you will be driven to your hotel which with Entebbe and strategically for your relaxation.

Day 2 - Mabamba bird sanctuary & Entebbe Botanical Garden

Early morning you will be on a half-day trip to Mabamba bird sanctuary looking for the rare Shoebill stock followed by a visit to Entebbe's Botanical Garden, also known as the pure bird paradise.

Day 3 – Entebbe Jinja trip.

After breakfast, Drive towards Jinja. The road goes through Uganda's capital Kampala and you get a glimpse of the busy and densely populated city. Jinja is located on the banks of Lake Victoria and is known for its historic colonial architecture and famous is the city for its location at the source of the Nile, the source of Nile, which is the place where the Nile begins its long hike up to the Mediterranean. You will be sailed to the exact point where the Nile starts and here you will find the story of how this place formed a framework for some of the nineteenth century most adventurous explorations, as well as seeing the monument to John Hannington Speke, the first to find the source of the Nile. In addition, the Nile is home to hundreds of bird species, which can be experienced in their natural habitat here.

In the evening, you will enjoy a sunset boat cruise to enjoy the Nile River.

Day 4 – Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park where you arrive for Lunch. You will enjoy an evening birding session in the Bigodi Swamp, which in our opinion is one of Uganda's best places for birds and primates. Here you will go for a walk on the well-timbered wooden bridges and paths where you will be able to see abundant monkeys like Mangabeys, black and white colobus, as well as bird species like the gray African parrot, blue Turacco or rhino birds, and you can be lucky to see chameleons, and the crested crane which is also Uganda's national symbol. You will enjoy the camp fire for your new year’s dinner.

Day 5 – Chimpanzee tacking experience

After breakfast you will, with the ranger guide, you will go chimpanzees tracking in the rainforest. On a very lucky you will find them moving around in large numbers and you will meet them face to face with just a few meters of distance, both on the ground and in the rainforest trees. After this truly unique experience, you will enjoy a light lunch in the beautiful surroundings of the forest. Evening relaxation and walking around the lodge’s trail.

Day 6 - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day after breakfast, driving towards Queen Elisabeth National Park. Queen Elisabeth National Park is one of Uganda's most popular national parks due to its unique and overwhelming wildlife.

Driving down the Rwenzori Mountains, Africa's highest mountain range, also called the Mountains of the Moon, due to their magnificent formations, with snowy mountain peaks, there will be ample opportunity to stop for photographing or just enjoying the spectacular views. On the way you stop at a vanilla farm which is optional on your day’s activity.  You also stop at the center of the world, where you can be photographed - for example, with a foot on every hemisphere or at the monument indicating where the line is going, having lunch at the spectacular view of the Kazinga channel at Mweya safari Lodge

Day 7 - Kazinga Channels (Queen Elizabeth National Park)

The morning will start with a 'Game Drive' where you will see elephants and a number of other wild savannah animals. You can also be lucky to see the sky leopards resting in the trees. On the way back to the lodge, you will come past the Katwe Salt Crater, where you will view the Crater Lake and explanation of the process of salt mining by your guide and get the story of how the lake has been the source of conflict between great kingdoms for thousands of years because of the lucrative salt trade. Here you will also see flamingos. Afterwards, you will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the historic Mweya Safari Lodge, where the English queen Elisabeth has its own personal suite. After lunch, you will take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel connecting Lake Edward with Lake George and you will end at the mouth of Lake Edward where you will be able to see the Democratic Republic of Congo on the other side. On the trip you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buffalo, as well as elephants coming down to drink and you'll also see a rich birdlife as the Queen Elizabeth National Park houses 568 bird species - one quarter of all bird species in Africa.

Day 8 – Ishasha Wilderness and the climbing Lions (Queen Elizabeth National Park)

After breakfast, you continue to the south of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Ishasha sector, where you will spend your next night. Here we will try to find the rare tree-lingering lions that live only here, who spend most of the day lying in shelter in the big fig trees. Fortunately, it makes them easy to spot and gives us a good opportunity to see them. In addition, you also get an extra chance to experience more wildlife due to the open savannah grassland of the sector making it a hub for many animals.

Day 9 - Game Drive and Bwindi Forest

In the morning, after a good morning meal, you will drive on your last game drive in the Ishasha sector before driving towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After an idyllic drive through one of the most spectacular volcanic landscapes, you arrive at Bwindi, just in time for a proper lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a walk to visit the local community and the engagement in the activities done by the locals is at your will like seeing how to grow coffee and tea, learn how to brew banana beer, and visit a small pygmy village where you will be incorporated into how the little forest people have lived through millennia.

Accommodation and meals: Rushaga Gorilla Camp

Day 10 – Gorilla tracking experience

After a cup of early morning coffee, your guide will drive to the starting point where you will be informed by your Ranger about the guidelines before heading to the park. Meeting with the huge but peaceful mountain gorillas is very excitinmg. After a walk in the beautiful rainforest-clad mountain landscape, you will come close to these majestic animals, as there are only 880 remaining in the world, and this is considered by many as the absolute greatest natural experience - an experience that will make you very tall. You will be provided with delicious food packages, which can be enjoyed on the backside of a hillside with outstanding views over the gorilla forest.

Day 11 – Drive to Lake Mburo national park.

You are waving goodbye to the gorillas and the ride is now slowly back towards Entebbe airport. But first you have to go past the birdy at Lake Mburo. After lunch, you will go on a walking safari in the evening this gives you the best chances to observe as many birds as possible of the 350 different bird species that are found in Mburo National Park. The park is also home to other animal species, such as zebras, buffalo, leopards, hippos, hyenas, elands, Impalas and more.

Day 12 – Departure and flight back home.

After breakfast at later morning, drive towards Entebbe. Have lunch at the shores of Lake Victoria before heading to the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
