A la découverte des mystères de man

We will leave the city Man to go to a village near Danane to discover the mysterious liana bridge. After 1 hour drive through a beautiful mountain landscape bordering the borders of Ivory Coast with Liberia and Guinea, we will reach a track to arrive in a Yacouba village where the most famous liana bridge is located (There are about ten liana bridges in good condition in this region).

This traditional structure overlooks a magnificent rocky stream, a tributary of the River Cavally. Legend has it that the geniuses throw the liana bridge over the river at night and that the villagers discover the new bridge once a year. It is a cultural heritage that plays an essential role in the relations and communication between the communities,

On our way back to Man, we will stop at the sacred forest to meet the monkeys and discover the founding legend of the city.

Finally, in order to leave the city with a small souvenir, I will take you to the workshop of the red wood sculptors to discover their work and possibly buy unique pieces (red wood can only be found in Man).
