Your guide will share with you stories about the Chief's Island including its history and its critical role in this part of the ecosystem.
Pick-up at the hotel/lodge in Maun between 6:00am and 7:00am. We will serve you a light breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, toast, juice, tea or coffee. We will then proceed to the boat station where you will leave on a motor boat at 8:00am for a full day of viewing game, birds and some of Botswana’s most breath-taking scenery.
At around midday we will reach our destination near Chief’s Island, which is also the turning point. Here your guide will take you for a 1 hour game walk. Once back at the boat landing your guide will set up a picnic lunch with table and chairs. After lunch you may rest in a shady, beautiful setting to soak up the peace and serenity of the Okavango Delta.
