6 Days Masai Mara / Lake Naivasha / Lake Nakuru / Amboseli Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

On your first day you will be picked up from the airport on arrival or your hotel in Nairobi by our experience driver guide. After a short tour briefing you will start your safari towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey will take you through the green mountains of Limuru while enjoying the spectacular view into the great Rift Valley. After descending into the valley you will pass two Rift Valley lakes before you arrive in Nakuru National Park. You will have the rest of the day for game drives through Nakuru National Park. Lunch (lunchbox) will be taken at a designated picnic spot inside the park. You can see the white and the black rhino and with a bit of luck also the rest of the big five elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino). In the evening you will leave the park to check into your hotel in Nakuru town for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Nakuru – Masai Mara

You start your second day with early morning game drive. This pre-breakfast game drive gives you good chances to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. Some of the elusive animals like the leopard may be seen at this hour. You return to your lodge to enjoy breakfast. You start your second day with early morning game drive. You return to your lodge to enjoy breakfast. Afterwards you leave Lake Nakuru towards Masai Mara with lunch in a designated restaurant on the way.

You will arrive in Masai Mara afternoon. After check in and freshening up you will go on your first game drive in the Mara until dinner.

Day 3: Masai Mara

On your third day you will have a full day of exploring the wonders of Masai Mara. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see plenty of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, lions, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. The ultimate adventure is of course the annual wildebeest migration in July and August when millions of wildebeest move from the Serengeti into the Mara in search of lusher grass before turning back again in October.

In order to see as much as possible you will leave the camp after breakfast enjoying a full morning of game drives. You will return to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. You resume evening game drive from 16:00 – 18:00 hours. You also have the option to have a full day game drive on this day with picnic lunch.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

You start your second day with early morning game drive. This pre-breakfast game drive gives you good chances to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. Some of the elusive animals like the leopard may be seen at this hour. You return to your lodge to enjoy breakfast.

Afterwards you leave Masai Mara towards Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for lunch. You can freshen up and explore the beautiful compound of your camp before going on an afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha. You can see big eagles hunting for fish in the lake while hippos graze in the afternoon sun. You will return for dinner and enjoy the night at the lodge.

Day 5: Amboseli

After enjoying your breakfast you will drive to Amboseli National Park. On the way you drive through the great Rift Vallev with its extinct volcanoes, bypass Nairobi until you reach Kibo safari Camp right outside the gates of Amboseli National Park. After checking in you can freshen up before enjoying your lunch at the camp. You can relax before going on an evening game drive inside Amboseli National Park where you can see large herds of elephants marching in front of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Even lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, hippos and many other animals can be seen in this stunning park. You return to Kibos Safari Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Amboseli – Nairobi

On your last day you will wake up early for a pre-breakfast game drive to have a chance to see the big cats hunting while the sun is rising over the national park. You return to the camo for breakfast. Afterwards you bit farewell to Ambosli and drive back to Nairobi where we will drop you at your hotel or at the airport. You can also choose to extent this tour by adding a few days relaxing in Diani Beach at the Indian Ocean where you can enjoy an endless white sand beach, coconut palm trees, crystal clear water and tropical gardens. We can easily arrange this perfect finish for your safari.
