9 days 8 nights aberdare - ol pajeta - samburu - lake nakuru - lake naivasha - masai mara

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Aberdares You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and immediately depart for Aberdares to arrive before lunch time. Lunch will be served at Aberdares Country Lodge. Later enjoy a joint game drive as you drive to The Ark lodge for dinner and overnight stay. At the lodge you will enjoy game viewing at a deck overlooking a waterhole. Overnight: Ark Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 2: Aberdares – Transfer to Samburu Have breakfast then depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. Arrive with a short game drive en route to the camp/lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax before a game drive at 4p.m. Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. Overnight: Ashnil Camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 3: Samburu – Full day Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp. Overnight: Ashnil Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 4: Samburu – Transfer to Sweetwaters Have breakfast at the camp and immediately depart for Sweetwaters. This is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Overnight: sweetwaters Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 5: Sweetwaters – Transfer to Lake Nakuru Leave Sweetwaters for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at the lodge/camp. Relax by the pool area band later have a game drive at 4p.m. You will meet great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the endangered white and black rhino found in this park. Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Lake Naivasha Have breakfast then depart for Lake Naivasha which is less than 2 hours away. Arrive and check in at the lodge by lunch time. Have lunch and later enjoy a boat ride. This is a good chance to see a good number of bird species and hippos. Later ride to the shore and head back to the lodge. Alternatively, have a game drive and hiking in Hells Gate. Overnight: Simba Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Maasai Mara Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4o’clock. Overnight: Ashnil Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 8: Maasai Mara – Full day game drives These 2 days will be spent with morning and afternoon game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. Accommodations include en suite restroom facilities and secluded verandas. Optional Activities: Balloon ride and visit to Maasai Village Overnight: Ashnil lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 9: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi Have breakfast at the camp then check out park and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch is served at Carnivore Restaurant or one of your choices. Afterwards drop off at the hotel for an overnight stay or airport. Alternatively, you can have a short trip to Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen or do a little shopping for souvenirs at Kazuri Beads. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
