Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
You depart Nairobi early in the morning for samburu trans-versing through Kenya highlands and to the samburu national reserve on the northern part of Kenya. You arrive in time for lunch and afternoon relaxation. Games drives awaits you in the afternoon as the driver shows you the best of this place. You return for dinner and overnight at dusk This full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Lodge. Day 2: Samburu The park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun. Samburu is renowned for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’.These five particular animals are usually only found north of the equator – the long necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa oryx with black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs.A camel-back safari is a specialty in Samburu, as well as a cultural visit to the Samburu people who depend on their cattle, goat, sheep and donkey can be arranged. Day 3: Samburu – ol pejeta After your breakfast , you depart via game drive to sweet waters Serena tented camp. You arrive in time for lunch and relaxation. Afternoon game drives follows in this private conservancy. Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. You return for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Olpejeta - lake Naivasha You depart after breakfast for Lake Naivasha. The driver will stop at the famous Thompson falls for photos. You arrive in time for lunch and relaxation. Afternoon boat rides awaits as the pilot shows you the beauty of this place. Spot the many hippopotamus and birds in the lake.
Day 5: Naivasha - Mara
Enjoy your breakfast and depart for maasai Mara national reserve. You may have one or two stops on the way for drinks and refreshments. You arrive at Elangata in time for lunch and relaxation. Afternoon game drives awaits for you at this park hosting the big five. Return at dusk or dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Mara This is your full day with nature. Depart from your lodge with a packed lunch and get driven to the most interior part. When there is migration, the driver takes you next to the river where you enjoy this seventh wonder of the world. Your lunch break is inside the park. Spot the thousands of animals at their natural habitat. Return late to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 : Mara - Nairobi journey This is the last day of the tour. You depart after breakfast for Nairobi. The driver can stop on the way for your lunch and later drop you to your hotel or international airport
