Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from the Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi. After a thorough briefing, you’ll travel in our comfortable 4x4 jeep toward Masai Mara, one of the most iconic wildlife reserves in the world. En route, enjoy the picturesque views of the Great Rift Valley before arriving at your tented camp. After lunch, head out on your first game drive to witness the wildlife of the Mara. Expect to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, if lucky, the mighty lion. End the day with a delicious dinner under the stars, and settle in for a peaceful night in the African bush.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today is dedicated to exploring the heart of Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, head out on a morning game drive to track the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. The Mara is home to a rich variety of wildlife, so you’ll also encounter cheetahs, hippos, and a wide range of birdlife. In the afternoon, you have the option to enjoy a hot air balloon safari for an unforgettable aerial view of the Mara’s vast plains (optional at an extra cost of $450). As the sun sets, relax back at the camp, enjoying the warmth of the evening while recounting your wildlife sightings.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Masai Mara, before heading towards Lake Nakuru. Arriving at your accommodation, you’ll enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its birdlife, especially flamingos, and its resident rhinos. The park is also home to other wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Enjoy this quieter, scenic safari experience as you explore the beauty of the lake and its surroundings.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Aberdares National Park
After breakfast, you’ll travel to Aberdares National Park, known for its mist-covered forests, waterfalls, and unique wildlife. Upon arrival at Tree Tops Hotel, you’ll be treated to stunning views of a waterhole that attracts elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of other animals. Spend the day relaxing at the hotel or exploring the park’s lush surroundings. As dusk approaches, enjoy watching the animals at the waterhole from the hotel’s viewing deck. This is a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of Kenya’s highlands.

Day 5: Aberdares to Nairobi
On the final day of your safari, enjoy a relaxing breakfast while watching the wildlife around the waterhole. Afterward, you’ll begin your journey back to Nairobi. Arriving in the city by late afternoon, Jossec Safaris will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, bringing your 5-day safari to a close.
